SUMMER 2020

This summer was something to remember as there were a lot of firsts, the first time we have ever had to deal with a pandemic, the first time we had to split the groups from 2 to 3 as there were so many kids interested in partaking, the first time we ever delivered a parents fun day at Marks Gate, the first time we ever delivered Badminton and Netball at Marks Gate.

With all that being said, we had an amazing time and as always we received so much positive feedback from the 4 weeks. We taught 104 different kids over the 4 weeks, averaging 58 kids per day. 65 males and 39 females were able to come out everyday and enjoy all the benefits of sports on their doorsteps.

After the success of our Multi sports programme in May 2018, we are proud to announce that we will be delivering Half term multi sports projects starting this summer in 2019.

Our next one starts from the 29th July-23rd August 2019, it is a 4 week programme, totally free to partake in. We know a lot of families like to go away and see other relatives so by signing up it doesn’t require you to come to every session. Lets just say its there so you know your child has something safe, structured and organised to do over the summer if you in tail.

Each day your child will partake in a different sport and learn and focus on a different life skill at the same time. Your child will get to meet new people and hopefully make new friends and all sports are delivered for maximum fun not elite level.

Places are limited due to the size of the facilities, so register your child/children before its too late to avoid disappointment. You can also sign up on the day but you risk the chance of being turned away if its full.

SIGN UP FORM

You can sign up by emailing us back the sign up form to sportsandlifeskills@gmail.com

Please note we only allow water at our sessions, so again please read through our code of conduct before signing up please.

We ran a May/June half term multi sports program in Barking and Dagenham (St Marks Gate) it was our first time down there and the young people and parents really took to the program really well. We delivered football, crcicket, hockey, touch rugby, dodgeball and last day was our fun day. We was only able to do 4 days due to the rain and thunderstorms on Tuesday afternoon, never the less we had great numbers over the 4 days averaging 29 young people a day.

A massive thank you to North Meets South for this great partnership and opportunity.
